In short, no, the thread length of A193 B7 bolts is not the same as the thread length of A325 bolts.
The F3125 Grade A325 specification covers heavy hex structural bolts which have standard fixed thread lengths shown in the table below. The thread lengths can be altered, but A325 bolts with nonstandard thread lengths must be made to the F3125 Grade A325S specification meaning they are “special” A325s with nonstandard qualities. These “A325S” bolts have to be specially manufactured and will not be available off-the-shelf.

In comparison, A193 Grade B7 heavy hex bolts follow a standard threading formula of 2 times the bolt diameter plus 1/4″ if 6” in length or less or plus 1/2″ if above 6” in length. As with the A325 specification, the A193 Grade B7 bolts can have different thread lengths if needed, but the bolts would have to be specially manufactured.
A193 Grade B7 Thread Length Formula
Bolt lengths ≤ 6″: Thread length = (2 X diameter) + 1/4″
Bolt lengths > 6″: Thread length = (2 X diameter) + 1/2″
hi,
What’s the maximum length I can get for 1.375″ dia. ASTM A193 GR B7, fully threaded rod?
Is this steel can also be used as pre-stressing steel comparing with other products like Dywidag threaded bar 1.375″ dia. confirming to requirements of ASTM A722.
Thanks
@Rinku- A193 B7 all thread typically comes 12′ long. We can have special, longer lengths manufactured, but I believe 20-24′ is the maximum length. B7 all thread differs considerably from Dywidag A722 bar. A722 bar is stronger (150ksi min vs 125ksi for B7) and has loose threads/deformations that act differently than standard UNC threads. Additionally, A722 bars gets its strength from cold drawing and stress relieving, whereas B7 is a heat treated alloy steel product. We would not consider them equivalents.
Can we get full threaded bolt (hexagon bolt) as per standrad ASTM A193 GR B7.
@Nithin- We are able to have these bolts manufactured as specials, but they are not commonly available off the shelf as far as we know.
Hi
How to change body diameter ex: 0.625 is 1″ ?
@Dinesh- Apologies, but we do not understand your question.
