Seattle Crane Tie-In

Construction is under way on one of Seattle’s newest residential buildings.  Once completed, the luxury high-rise will stand 41 stories tall and will host 450 residential units adding 8,000 SF of retail space.  The tower is part of a “building boom” along with three other towers, all within a one-block radius, which will add over 1,700 apartments to the area.

Portland Bolt was contacted by the general contractor on the project in March of 2017.  The Crane Foreman who was working on the job required a variety of high strength custom fasteners to anchor and tie-in the cranes that would be used to erect the building.  Portland Bolt manufactured the 1½”Ø A354 Grade BD hex bolts in a lead time that would keep the crane installer on schedule.

Portland Bolt is a reliable option for projects in the Pacific Northwest and beyond.  In 2017, we shipped to all 50 states, 10 Canadian provinces and territories, and 34 countries. Keep Portland Bolt in mind for any project that requires large custom anchor bolts or construction fasteners.
