Rodeo, CA, USA
From February through October of 2008, Portland Bolt supplied over 37,000 pounds of galvanized anchor bolts for the upgrade of ConocoPhillips’ refinery in Rodeo, California. The Rodeo facility is the second location of the San Francisco Refinery that is linked by a 200 mile pipeline to the Santa Maria, California refinery. The Rodeo location further refines primarily high-sulfur crude oil sent from the Santa Maria location into finished petroleum products, including diesel fuel, jet fuel and gasoline. The project included the construction of a hydrocracker facility for which Portland Bolt provided the custom foundation anchor bolts.
The anchor bolts supplied on the job ranged in diameter from ½” all the way up to 2¼” and were custom manufactured in a wide variety of lengths, grades, and configurations. Portland Bolt was able to meet the aggressive foundation schedule as well as accommodate the packing and shipping requirements that clearly identified the shipments by mark number. Our ability to quickly supply expedited shipments is due to our extensive inventory of materials and our ability to galvanize the bolts we manufacture in our own specialized hot-dip galvanizing plant.
