Wine connoisseurs may be familiar with Sonoma County, California as a hotbed of wineries. While wine generally improves with age, the same can’t be said for docks, so in the summer of 2015, Lake Sonoma Marina decided to replace it’s 28-year old timber docks with new concrete docks.
Portland Bolt was selected to manufacture the rods on the floating docks for this project. Nearly 5,000 ¾” diameter hot-dip galvanized rods were required for the new docks at Lake Sonoma. The rod lengths ranged from 36” to 120”. Portland Bolt manufactured and galvanized all of these rods right here in our facility.
With our ability to roll thread diameters from 1/2” up to 1”, and our in-house galvanizing capabilities, Portland Bolt is an excellent option for bolts in marine environments.
