Einstein and Kellogg Middle Schools

Beginning in April 2019 and with the final shipment leaving in December 2019, Portland Bolt released a series of shipments of plain finish anchor rods for the construction of two middle schools on behalf of the Shoreline Public School District. Located in Shoreline Washington, Einstein and Kellogg Middle Schools are both existing middle schools that will have new multi-story modern schools built on their grounds. After the new middle schools are erected and open for the students to attend, the old schools will be demolished and a new track, sports facilities, and parking lots will be constructed where the old schools were previously located. The new middle schools will both have a capacity of over 1,000 students and each will measure over 150,000 square feet.

Over eight different shipments, Portland Bolt shipped nearly 50,000 pounds of anchor rods in a variety of diameters and lengths, ranging from ¾” diameter F1554 Grade 36 and F1554 Grade 55 anchor rods up to 2” and 2-1/2” diameter F1554 Grade 105 anchor rods. There was also a sizable amount of heavy hex nuts, jam nuts, and hardened washers supplied along with the anchor rods. Portland Bolt shipped all eight releases on time to keep up with an initially aggressive project schedule so that the contractor could continue pouring concrete foundations and keep the project on schedule.
